Drive Cancer Away
Donation protected
My friend Nelson is undeniably a family man. He and his wife Yvette have been blessed with the opportunities to adopt and raise seven children. Two more children rely on them for all of their care. Anyone who talks with either of them will immediately recognize their calling to be parents to children, especially to those whose birth parents needed help caring for them.
In June this year, Nelson was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, when he went to the doctor for what he thought was a swollen lymph node.
By by the time he had surgery on July 12, the tumor in his neck had grown to the size of a large orange.
Doctors are encouraging, believing that through the surgery and the subsequent six weeks of radiation and chemo, he will be able to drive this cancer away. Despite all of this, his faith and that of the family has remained strong.
Nelson has been unable to work for some time, and cannot seek work until he has finished his daily cancer treatments. While insurance helps, the day-to-day expenses of a family of seven along with the extra daily trips to the treatment facility sixty miles away are quickly adding up.
Any help that can be used for the travel expenses or other necessities of the family while he beats this cancer would be greatly appreciated.
