Beep Beep! Support Shay’s Journey to Her First Car!

Hi everyone, my name is Shay, and I’m excited to share a huge milestone with you! I was born with a disability affecting both of my upper limbs, but that has never stopped me from pushing forward and embracing new challenges. In December 2024, after a long and determined journey, I finally earned my driver’s license!

Now, I’m on my next big step—purchasing my first car! Driving represents a new level of independence for me, but it also comes with additional costs, including the adaptive controls I’ll need to drive safely. My dream is to get an SUV, specifically an Acura RDX. You may be thinking why an SUV not a car, and why specifically an Acura RDX? Well after months of extensive research, the features of this vehicle seem to best fulfill both my dexterity and mobility accommodation needs.

Your donation will help me secure the vehicle and make any necessary modifications so I can drive safely and independently. This is more than just a car—it’s about mobility, opportunity, and proving (once again) that my disability will never hold me back.
