Drive-in & Community Recovery Fundraiser
Hello everyone!
This is Ben from the Harvest Moon Twin Drive-in. As many of you know, our community Gibson City was inundated with 10+ inches of rain in under 6 hours last Thursday the 12th. This caused the majority of the community to become severely flooded, damaging property including the drive-in.
Out theater lost over $5000 in equipment, food, and supplies not to mention the lost revenue of being closed on one of our anticipated busiest weekends of the month. This number pales in comparison to many others in the area that lost vehicles, homes and in some cases, nearly everything. We are a resilient business and went to work straight away to clean the facility and be able to reopen but others are not so lucky.
We are running this gofundme for 2 reasons:
1: We are trying to recoup some of the money we lost to replace needed items and supplies to continue our operations into our season.
2: Our community is in desperate need of funds for those severely impacted by the flooding. We know our fanbase spans the country and even other countries and would like to use that reach to provide some relief for those most effected by this disaster.
We are looking to raise the goal of $5000 to help our business and any donations beyond that amount will be sent to the relief accounts set up for those impacted by the flooding. This way we can work to not only rejuvenate our business and recover the losses, but also help those that truly need an extra hand during this time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and feel free to reach out with any questions. Please share this far and wide and help us to get our community back on it's feet!
