Drivers Privilege Card Fund

In the Fall of 2019 50 Ways Rockbridge held a focus group with local migrants. They said that one of their main issues was having to drive without a license because  Virginia would not issue them to undocumented residents.  This spring the legislature passed  legislation to issue Drivers Privilege Cards to immigrants who could prove their residency and were paying Virginia taxes. 

We are raising money to hire professional tax preparers to help individuals get Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers and file their first 1040.  Once they have filed their 1040 they can apply for a permit to become legal drivers, and will not be subject to as much harassment.
