Drizzle the Honey, Show Herb the Money

Hi friends,

Herb Wiley's bandmates and wide musical family are rallying to support someone who has always lifted others with his warmth, humor, and extraordinary talent. You may know him from Rye Coalition, The Black Hollies, Green Dragon, or from one of his many unforgettable performances fronting everything from AC/DC to Guns N’ Roses at The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s Halloween shows in Jersey City. Herb’s contributions to the Jersey music scene and to all of our lives are truly unmatched.

Our beloved Herb is facing a profoundly difficult year. He was recently diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the brain, spinal cord, and muscles—and he's also managing other serious medical issues that are complicating his care.

Herb is working closely with a team of specialists to navigate the evolving challenges of this illness. One of the most immediate and difficult changes has been the weakening of his hands, making it nearly impossible to play music or manage everyday tasks. These changes have created an urgent need for support with daily living, mobility, and medical care.

As a dear friend, brother, teacher, and bandmate, Herb has always been there for so many of us. Now it’s our turn to be there for him. Every contribution—large or small—will go directly toward helping Herb meet the physical, emotional, and financial challenges ahead, while preserving his independence, dignity, and joy.
