Ice Bucket Challenge with Drop the Gloves with ALS 2024

Marcus Noble grew up playing hockey at Queensbury school in upstate NY. While still living locally and working at the family business in South Glens Falls, he continued to play hockey with his former classmates and teammates in a men’s league throughout his adult life. When the pandemic cut their season short in 2020, no one knew that Marcus would soon be diagnosed with ALS at age 33 and would never skate again.
Now three years into his diagnosis, Marcus finds so much joy in watching his lifelong hockey friends bring the community come together to fundraise with Drop the Gloves with ALS to provide financial support to St Peter’s Regional ALS Center to help them continue to provide the resources to assist others in a similar situation as his own. This year is also the first time that Marcus has agreed to accept a portion of the funds raised to help cover the ever increasing bills and expenses for his care.
Last year we raised over $35,000 for the ALS Center and we are excited to begin this years fundraising ahead of the hockey tournament weekend! Whether you plan to join in person on April 6th in Glens Falls, or send support from afar, we appreciate it all! Visit our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates and to follow the fun!
