Drop Your Pants 11 - Bob Sturm Clothing Drive

Tax deductible

11 years ago, Bob Sturm, a sports radio host for 1310 The Ticket, came up with the idea of "Drop Your Pants". This annual event collects clothes and funds for the Cornerstone Clothes Closet and Shower Facility. We will use the monies collected to purchase clothing items from wholesale vendors when we fall short on actual clothing donations. We also only give away new socks and new underwear. The need for clothes at the clothes closet continues to rise as we meet the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in South Dallas. This fundraiser is so important to our ministry. We will use the funds to purchase blue jeans, underwear, socks, backpacks, winter jackets, toiletries, and so much more from wholesale vendors.

Cost to give a person experiencing homelessness a clean set of clothes is approximately $10.00 to $30.00 depending on the season. We often fall short in the winter when distributing Coats & Blue Jeans.

Case of 24 jeans $168.00

Case of 144 pairs of underwear $180.00

Case of 12 Jackets $222.00

Case of 24 socks $18.00

The generous donations from last year enabled us to provide all the essentials for keeping the Cornerstone Clothes Closet stocked.

Donations by check can be made out to "Cornerstone Baptist Church" and mailed to: 1819 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215. Please make a note in the memo line that the donation is for DYP11

Thank you to all the P1's for your generosity.
