Our little Bear!
Donation protected
On the 28th February our beloved little French Bulldog Bear was out on a walk with our dog walker when he tragically slipped into the River Calder in Wakefield. There had been daily searches to find our little Bear with ongoing support provided by K9-SAR who are a voluntary organisation that search for animals that are missing.
This has included walking up and down the river, searching the river banks, installing cameras in the trees to monitor movement, ground searches and using thermal drone equipment and an underwater drone.
10 days had passed since this tragic incident when another voluntary organisation (Beneath the Surface) who are an underwater sonar search and recovery dive team were able to travel from Lancashire to help us search for Bear.
Phil from Beneath the Surface carried out a dive and under water search during which he was able to locate Bear and return him back to us.
We would like to raise funds so that we can donate to both K9-SAR and Beneath the Surface who both provide their support and services on a voluntary basis within their own time. Without them, we would never have found Bear and would never have been reunited (despite the tragic outcome).
Any funds received will be split between both K9-SAR and Beneath the Surface to allow them to continue doing the amazing work they do everyday.
Thank you everyone for your support ☺️
