DRU is a home of rehabilitation for animals. children and people of the community.
We never thought we would be where we are right now.
We have always done our best to plan for emergencies, but no one could anticipate what has happened to our little animal sanctuary during hard times.
During the last few months we have done our best to try to survive, but with no avail.
Our volunteer team have committed to our cause throughout covid, but we are now looking at a bleak future. We have no other option but to ask for your help.
We have taken on cases that most would turn away during hardship. We have stood strong. This week we have faced our hardest times.
We have been hit with several emergencies during covid
Jake, our Shetland pony who has gone down unexpectedly and in critical care.
Drogo, Sensa and Kahlieses in critical vet care with an undetermined illness that has cost us upwards of $20k during covid
Baby our goat who has enlarged udders that we are trying to get in condition for a $5K mastectomy at Gatton University
Our rent freeze has been withdrawn and we now need to repay 4 months of rent plus utilities
