Drusilla’s Trans Surgery Fund

Hi! If you don’t know me, my name is Drusilla, I’m a graphic artist, writer, podcaster, and filmmaker. I’m also a trans woman. 6 years into my transition and I’m finally able to undergo surgical means to continue my medical transition. This is a huge step and necessary in ending the dysphoria and pain that I’ve lived with for the last 26 years.

I have an incredible surgical team in San Francisco and am beyond fortunate enough to have health insurance that is able to cover a large majority of the procedures.

However, transgender health care is exceptionally expensive. And traveling to a different city for over a week for the operation and time to heal doesn’t make it any easier. I’ve been working on saving as much as I can, but we just found out this week that my surgery date was moved up to November 16th, over 5 months sooner than expected, and now we only have about 3 weeks to get everything we need together.

Your donation goes toward the medical costs as well as the travel and rooming costs for myself and my mother. Without this I wouldn’t be able to have her there for support and as someone with limited family connections at this point in my life it means more than I can put into words to have her there every step of the way.

Anything you can donate, even just a few dollars, helps bring me closer to living the rest of my life in a body free from the weight and pain of dysphoria.
