Drywall Finisher with Broken Neck

Hello, My name is Brooke Kindberg. My husband Brian is the BEST Drywall Finisher and has been doing drywall since he was 13 years old and is now 54. I'm his go-for and take care of him! He has worked on Scaffolding his whole life and runs them like 2nd nature. On May 17th, 2022, we were working on our small farm, putting up a Carport. When he went to step off the scaffolding, it moved and knocked him off backward, and he landed on the base of his neck and shoulders in a fetal position. I Called 911, and they transported him to ER. After several CT scans, it showed he broke his C2(Hangman Vertebra), C3, C4 vertebra, his T2, T3 and T4 and fractured his sternum. He is in a Halo for AT LEAST 3 months and maybe 4. When the Halo does Finally come off, he will be in another neck brace for some time. So not sure When or If he will go back to work. We tried to sign him up for SS Disability, but we do not qualify. This whole experience has been LIFE CHANGING. We have been so blessed by the kindness and generosity of family and friends. And I know we will continue to be blessed.
