“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our brother-in-law, Ryan Bigelow. Ryan was diagnosed with cancer back in the fall of 2021. He underwent chemotherapy and was expected to have an excellent prognosis. Unfortunately, Ryan was part of a very small percentage to develop severe lung toxicity from one of the chemotherapy medications and was admitted to the University of Michigan Hospital at the beginning of March. The cough he was admitted with led to severe shortness of breath. He underwent further testing and was found to have Bleomycin lung toxicity and, despite treatment, continued to deteriorate. He was placed on a ventilator which led to further complications. Ryan passed away peacefully on the evening of 3/18/22, with his family surrounding him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Amanda and his beautiful children: Emma, Caleb, Drew, Luke, Sam, Ruthie, Violet, and Emilia. If you know this family, you'd know that they are one of the most faithful and loving families you've ever met. Tony and I are asking for help for his sister and her children. First and foremost, we are asking for prayers.. specifically for peace, comfort, love and guidance through this unimaginable loss. We are asking for help in other ways for those that are able. Whether it be meals, groceries, help with home maintenance/cleaning, vehicle maintenance, or financially, it will all help this family and be greatly appreciated. Ryan was the income provider for his family while Mandy stayed home and homeschooled the kiddos; we also hope to raise funds to help provide for Mandy and the kids while navigating this significant loss. Thank you so much for your support. God Bless!
