Mary Ellen's Lyme Disease Treatment
Donation protected
Thank you so much for visiting this page! My name is Mary Ellen Catterton and I have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. This disease has taken much from me, including my ability to work and support myself. Everyday things that I used to take for granted, such as walking into another room or getting into a car or even bathing (which I can’t do alone) have become a painful struggle for me. The biggest changes I face are in ordinary activities.
The money being raised will help pay for my medications, supplements, doctors’ visits, and various bills. I have tried to cover these expenses on my own but have depleted my life savings and am still met with financial burden. Today many medical professionals refuse to acknowledge the existence of Chronic Lyme Disease and as a result my medical insurance is unwilling to pay for visits to Lyme Disease Specialists and the treatments they provide. It is frustrating to be left without a voice and nowhere to turn. My goal of $50,000 will go toward my expenses and potentially a risky six-month long intravenous treatment that I believe will give me my life back.
Any donation, no matter how small, is a true blessing. I cannot stress how far each dollar will go. My goal is to one day be a grandmother to my grandchildren and share with them the joy and beauty that comes from life and my Faith in Christ. I know that my life is worth more than the pain and struggles that I’ve faced and want to thank you for any thoughts, prayers, and assistance you send my way.
Every Blessing Always and Forever,
Mary Ellen Catterton
