Help Marissa get back on her feet!
Marissa’s Road to Recovery
The Marissa Auclair Family Fund was created after Marissa suffered a devastating fall while riding her horse Paisley. The funds raised from this campaign will help support Marissa, her family, feed and care for her beloved farm animals and cover medical expenses. 100% of the funds will be collected by her mother Jane Ricardi and be given directly to Marissa in full!
Since 2007 Marissa has been an exceptional nurse working at Hartford Hospital and Spaulding School in Suffield CT. When she is not working she is a wonderful Mom to her 3 kids Max, Brylee, and John.
Along with her husband Jordan they made a major life decision to purchase a farm in 2020. This was a dream come true for Marissa as she could now bring her childhood horse Andrew home. Since then they have added Paisley, 3 goats, 17 chickens, 2 rabbits, 2 kittens and of course Baxter the dog.
Marissa severely broke her leg and was devastated to find out she also had Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria) and has had many surgeries to remove the bacteria. AT this point in time Marissa faces several more surgeries to repair her ankle and leg bones. Her Doctor anticipates that her recovery will be a long 12-18 months. Despite this life altering accident Marissa has been courageous, brave and an unbelievably positive patient. She desperately wants to get home to her husband, children and farm.
Due to the length of her recovery the financial burden on her family will be substantial. Any donation to this fund is greatly appreciated.
On behalf of Marissa- The tremendous outpouring of love, prayers, and support over the last few weeks has been overwhelming. She feels so blessed to have so many of you in her life. Keep the prayers coming! They are working!
Let’s bring her home!!
