Bandit Needs a New Knee

Donation protected

On January 20, 2012, my best friend was born. She was small, furry, and waiting for me to come to meet her. I saw an ad for Border Collie puppies on Want Ad Digest and decided that we should go meet them. There were two puppies left - one with a white face and another that they called Fishbone. I really wanted the puppy with the white face because I thought it looked cute, but I held Fishbone first and she nuzzled into my neck and whimpered. I knew that she was my puppy and I could feel her name was meant to be Bandit.

Our journey together has been eventful. We've moved a couple of times, journeyed together and she's helped me through the hardest times of my life. I wish I could do the same for her. She has comforted me while I've cried, laid next to me when I was anxious, and she has lifted my head up when I've buried it in depression. She is my soul dog and I can't imagine a life without her in it. She is truly my best friend.

Bandit developed arthritis in her hips, which put a strain on her knees. As a result, she tore her ACL and Meniscus, which need to be replaced using TPLO surgery. This surgery is very expensive and as a single mother trying to complete school, during COVID, working a part-time job while I'm also home with my son, it's just impossible to have this amount of money. I was denied Care Credit because my credit is still rebuilding. I need help - as much as it pains me to ask for it.

Every bit helps.... and will make me cry because of how touched I am by the generosity. I appreciate everything.
