Funding for Sub Rosa Theatre Collective

Sub Rosa Theatre Collective is a new theatre group, founded in June of 2023 by young artists, that focuses on encouraging young artists to create independent work. Our goal is to support young artists so that they can work on theatre and art that they are passionate about while getting paid!

Our first project, Indebted, was a success! Thanks to our amazing donors and supporters, we were able to raise enough money to pay all of our actors, understudies, and our whole creative team, all of which were young people and students, and afford extensive set, costumes, and props, as well as lighting and sound equipment. The show ran for a week and was sold out almost every night. The same can be said for our second project, An Enemy of the People, which received glowing reviews and sold out every night for two weeks at The Den Theatre. The kind donations and support we received from our attendants and donors allowed us to pay all the young artists involved and afford beautiful costumes, sets, props, an amazing space, and more.

Now, Sub Rosa is endeavoring to put on a production of How to Make Friends & Then Kill Them at OpenSpace Arts, directed by long-time member, Alena Santoyo. To make this happen, and continue to pay the young people involved, we are hoping to raise 20,000 dollars.
