Dubai Dreams for Bollywood Signature

We are Bollywood Signature, a Calgary based dance team, and we are raising funds to help us represent Canada at the Global Encounters (GE) festival in Dubai in July 2025! Thank you so much for clicking on our page and reading our story.

The GE Festival is an exciting initiative bringing together talented artists and athletes from around the world who will create, compete, and connect through a series of events such as concerts, exhibitions, innovative and thought-provoking speakers and more.

Our performance submission beautifully embodies the theme of caring through a “care for culture” model. As first and second-generation Canadians deeply connected to our South Asian heritage, we are excited to showcase traditional semi-classical and folk (garba) dance styles that resonate with our parents and grandparents. We also incorporate vibrant western styles like hip hop and house, set to Indian music. For us, nurturing culture through dance and fostering intergenerational connections is a core value that we hold dear as a group. We look forward to sharing the stage with dancers from around the world, where we can express our story about the importance of caring for culture through a Canadian lens.
