In Honor of Nicolasa Chavez
Donation protected
Given the unexpected death of Fernando’s beloved mother, any donations to assist with memorial services to honor of Mrs. Nicolasa Chavez are greatly appreciated.
More commonly known as “Dona Nico” or “Pascualita”, she was a hardworking mother, a loving wife, and a supportive friend to many. She was a friend of the world. Everywhere she went she sparked a conversation or shared a smile. In her seventy-six years of life she enjoyed eating tacos, making mole, and playing a long game of cards.
More recently, she was battling a number health issues. She took her last breath on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 in the comfort of her own home with family and close friends by her side.
We will be honoring Dona Nico at Guerra and Gutierrez Mortuary, (1001 North Maclay Ave, San Fernando, CA 91340) on Thursday February 18th with a viewing from 3:30-8:00pm, and a Rosario at 7:00pm. On Friday February 19th, there will be a mass at 11:00am at the mortuary, and then at 12:15pm we will lay her to rest at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery (11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA 91345).
We would like to thank those who have reached out to offer support and condolences. Due to the high cost of funerals, any donations large or small will be appreciated.
