Dublin Marathon for the King
Yo guys, this year I have decided to do the Dublin Marathon and Raise money for Temple street, for those that don't know Our Wee Man was born with Bi-lateral talipes or in other words Clubfoot... Basically when he was born his foot was the wrong way around... and I'm not going to lie in saying that when I saw his foot at 3.33 AM on the 16-09-2020 my first thought was "my Son is never going to walk" the King had his Achilles tendon cut and 12 weeks old and had full legs casts from 12 days old until 4 months as they gradually stretched and straightened his foot... all I wanted to do was swap places with him and let him be pain free but we had to continue our journey... into the boots and bars we went... 23 hours a day then gradually we got down to 12 hours a day... once bed times comes Alex needs to put on his bedtime boots, the pride that fills our hearts every day when we look at him is unmatched... not only is he walking but he's running, jumping, climbing, you name it and that little bugger is doing it, but we still have a lifetime of worry ahead... worrying will he relapse, watching him everyday wondering "is he walking funny today" but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.. at the minute we are just concentrating on helping him follow the right treatment plan and we couldn't do that without the Ponsetti method and the steps foundation... and the love and care that Temple Street provide our little man.. 42km of pain is only a fraction of what Alex has already went to in his life so every little helps peace and love ❤️ ♂️
