Impaired driving x Horse Trailer Accident

Hi. My name is Devon, my young horse was involved in a drunk driving accident on highway 39 on September 28th. I want to raise awareness while helping my horse through recovery.

I will not disclose any names of those involved. I am NOT the drunk driver however I personally know them and am distraught over the situation that has occurred.

I want to state that the horse is currently alive and has since received a substantial amount of emergency medical care. I am incredibly thankful for the horse people who stopped to help immediately following the accident and administered emergency sedation on my young colt. I was not on scene immediately as I was having this horse transported for me.

I would like to use any funds made here to give back to those who helped recover an animal who means so much to me and to current and ongoing vet bills.

“Holden” as we call him is only a year old and was on his way to beginning fitting for a show career. I am hopeful his injuries will not keep him out of show world as this was my plan with him. But I am trying to stay realistic and take each day as they come in his recovery.
