Almost 4 years ago, we set out on an incredible journey as husband and wife. We also have been greatly blessed through making St. Mary’s, MD our home, finding a church family, and seeing God move through Young Life. Today, we would like to include you on our next journey….our journey to adoption!
This past year, God has put this desire on our hearts and we want to be faithful to follow His leading. Through prayer, grabbing meals and time with other adoptive families, and informational meetings, we are now in the initial stages of our adoption process. Austin and I intend to adopt a young child from the foster care system!
We have chosen to move forward with an adoption agency called Bethany Christian Services. We are so thankful that we have the means to love, nurture, protect, care, and provide for a child’s daily needs, but the reality is there is a substantial amount of money needed up front to bring this child to their forever home. Would you be willing to enter into this journey with us? You can be a tangible part of uniting us with our child, whoever and wherever he or she is. Whether you feel led to graciously help us financially and/or through your prayers and encouragement, it all means the world to us! There really is no amount that is too little because it is the love behind the gesture that will help us carry through.
We are creating a special framed keepsake that will hang in the child’s room as a reminder of those who helped him or her get to a forever home. Join us in specifically praying for discernment, patience, and peace through this whole process. That the Lord would make it evident which child is ours to bring home.
