Hardship Medical for Dulce Heredia's Family

Dulce Heredia is an O&M admin working for Johnson Controls onsite at Pemex Deer Park, Texas. She is a vital part of our team for this site. In July 2023 Dulce gave birth to a baby girl. Her and her husband currently have two children.

On January 3rd, 2024, her husband had severe pain in his abdomen. They took him to the ER and found a mass near his colon. They immediately took him to surgery to remove the mass and preform a biopsy. This whole week was spent in the hospital waiting for doctors to determine if this is cancer or not. In the meantime, Dulce’s husband was still having pain and other issues. They ended up having a second surgery and removing a portion of his colon and placing a colostomy bag. After this surgery the biopsy came back as benign for cancer, and they determined he has severe diverticulosis. They then started him on strong antibiotics. He is currently recovering at home but is due for a third surgery to reverse the colostomy if possible.

During this serious of events, he found out he did not have any health insurance with his current employer, nor did they provide any type of short term or long-term disability. This family’s income has been cut in half and it has been determined that he will not be able to return to work for at least another 10 months.

He has not qualified for any type of assistances to help with the medical bills or their normal everyday bills like mortgage, electric, water, property taxes, food, etc.

So here at Dulce’s place of employment we are asking for help with this family to assist in covering these lost wages and just a portion of the medical bills. Any thing you can spare is greatly appreciated.
