Dumlao Family - House Fire Recovery

Hi, my name is Sarah Dumlao and I’m helping raise money on behalf of my family.

On Thursday, October 5th, my family’s condo in Ontario, CA was destroyed by a devastating fire. My mother, father, sister, brother and nephew all lived in this home. Thankfully everyone is alive and safe but my father, Cesar, was taken by ambulance to the ER to be treated for 2nd degree burns. After one week in the hospital and surgery, he was released and expected to make a full recovery.

Cesar’s road to recovery will be a slow process. We are treating his wounds from an hotel and he requires weekly doctors visits. Insurance will only cover some of the damage and 90% of their personal belongings are considered not salvageable.

The family is currently living in a hotel and is looking for temporary housing. The insurance money allotted for temporary housing will only get so far. The rebuild is expected to take at least one year.

I have set up this GoFundMe to ask everyone who is able to help my family on their journey to rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
