Duna Abu-Amara's Memorial Fund
We are devastated to share that Duna passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was an amazing daughter, sister, friend, and co-worker loved by all. Duna was always positive and always put her family, and friends first. She was passionate about her work, and was an incredible colleague and mentor to so many of us. Duna was passionate about humanitarian assistance and the well-being of refugees and other vulnerable communities.
In honor of her life, we are raising money to benefit American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) (Anera), and any donation will help make an impact.
More information about American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) (Anera): Since 1968, Anera has helped refugees and others hurt by conflicts in the Middle East live with dignity and purpose. Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon and Jordan. They mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. The staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most. That’s how Anera delivered 98.3 million in programs in 2020 alone, and it’s how we will keep building better lives until hope finds its way in the Middle East.
