Dunblane HS S3 Robotics International Tournament

Hello! We are Dunblane High Schools S3 Robotics team, we are fundraising to support our journey to go to a international tournament in Marrakech for the First LEGO League (FFL) competition after coming 6th in the UK Final competition. What is First LEGO League? First LEGO League is a competition in which a group of students build a robot to undergo different challenges, this brings skills together to do with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), this includes engineering for the robot and technology for the coding of the robot. FLL is a fun way of getting students to interact with STEM. STEM is at the heart of FFL and an essential skill for young people to develop as our modern-day society revolves around this topic and it is essential to lots of jobs and pathways today. Our team consists of six S3 students Peter, Jamie, Bailey, Malo, Fraser and Ethan. We were very surprised when on Tuesday the Second of May our coach got the email that we had been invited to this competition as 1 of 3 teams representing UK/Ireland and the only team from Scotland. There is only 2 weeks until the tournament, since we are going to Marrakesh the total price for all of us will be a whopping £6000! This is a HUGE number but hopefully with the support of our team, families, school community and local community we will be trying our absolute hardest to raise this money.
