Support the Punkest Gallery in Stockholm!

We are an independent artist collective with 19 active members from Stockholm and we need your help. Due to harsh budget cuts to arts and culture by Sweden's conservative government this year, our self-run space is in danger of closing.

We started this project in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic, against all odds. In just four years of existence, we have held 60 exhibitions in our window gallery and many art interventions in the city, as well as an art auction to support Ukraine, and much more. During this time we have had an audience of more than 1,000,000,000 visitors.

We are presenting a non-commercial art space that offers the opportunity to show things that cannot be shown in any other exhibition space in the city. We have no tickets, no white walls, no censorship, no prejudice and no elitism.

We are not ready to stop, because we feel there is a huge potential here to work with socially engaged art. We are in the right place at the right time.

In order to prevent the gallery from closing at the end of this year, we need to raise 156,600 SEK. This money will be used to pay the rent for two exhibition windows for six months, renovation of the hanging structures, replacement of lamps and technical equipment, administration, installation and advertising. All artists who exhibit with us receive a grant.
