Cindy's Medical Expenses

Cindy has been an employee of Mapleview Animal Hospital since 1998. In March of 2017, Cindy's husband, Dan, passed away from cancer after being diagnosed 1 1/2 years previously. The Arens family incurred tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid medical expenses as a result of the treatment. Dan had been unable to work for 8 months prior to his death so Cindy was the sole income earner.

Then on January 13, 2018, Cindy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor on Tuesday, January 16. She has since been transferred to a rehabilitation facility. During her stay there, she will be unable to work. It is estimated that she will be out of work for at least 4 weeks.

Since the Arens' family is still trying to recover financially from Dan's death, the blow of having Cindy now undergoing treatment herself is mind-boggling.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by February 15. Funds raised will be given to the Arens family to help cover the medical expenses for both Dan and Cindy's care.
