DUSTIN ROBERTS NEEDS SUPPORT FOR LONG COVID TREATMENTS

Donation protected
Hello, we’re reaching out on behalf of a truly inspiring individual, Dustin Roberts.

Dustin's journey through the trials of long COVID has been nothing short of heartbreaking. It has been absolutely crushing to watch, let alone endure! As a faithful husband, devoted father, and beloved teacher and coach (Columbine Highschool and formerly Ralston Valley Highschool, in Colorado) his life has been an outpouring of love and dedication to those around him.

Since September 2022, Dustin began experiencing severe, unexplained symptoms, including intense headaches, lightheadedness, dizziness and overwhelming confusion. Despite feeling like he was living in a constant dream (nightmare), Dustin continued to teach and coach, pouring his heart into his family, students, and athletes throughout the entire school year.

After numerous out-of-pocket, costly tests, treatments, and a year of suffering, In August of 2023, Dustin crashed hard. His symptoms became unbearable and he only made it through one day of teaching and had to take a leave of absence.

Desperate for relief, at the expense of a generous supporter, he underwent more extensive testing and treatments in Arizona, including hyperbaric chamber sessions and other therapies typically reserved for professional athletes. These treatments helped significantly, and Dustin was able to return to his duties.

However, in February 2024, Dustin’s health declined once again, adding new and frightening symptoms. He has had to take a second leave of absence for short-term disability. The insidious grip of this illness and incessant search for relief has brought him to his knees, robbing him of his vitality and leaving him in a state of relentless suffering.

In continued desperation for answers, he has found hope with a specialist in Boulder, Colorado, who has a promising treatment protocol for long COVID. Again, unfortunately, his insurance does not cover these necessary treatments.

Dustin and with the help of another generous soul, has already invested over $50,000 into his recovery. He remains steadfast and hopeful, supported by his deep faith, which led him to be baptized and renew and deepen his walk with The Lord in November 2023.

We are now calling on the community and all who hear Dustin’s story to help cover the costs of his ongoing medical care. Your contributions will directly support treatments that Dustin’s insurance unfortunately doesn’t cover, helping him return to full health and to the students and athletes who miss his care, first-class role-modeling and guidance. Dustin desperately wants to get well to be at 100% for his family and get back to the teaching and coaching he loves.

We sincerely appreciate all the help everyone is willing to give Dusty. And more than anything we ask you to cover him in your prayers for strength, healing, wisdom, provisions.

A note from Dusty who has had an amazing attitude in this entire journey:
“I really appreciate everyone. This has been an absolute nightmare for my family and I. I'm just not able to continue to pay out of pocket for treatment while on short-term disability. The ultimate praise goes to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Love you all. God has a purpose for my suffering. I will get better. Thanks for everything!”

Please share and spread this need for Dustin.
