Dusty & Phil's Transplant Recovery

My husband Phil has been battling diabetes since the young age of 8 years old. We found out a few years ago that it was taking a toll on his kidneys as well as his heart. Last December we were informed he's in Stage 5 Kidney Failure and is in need of a Kidney Transplant. After nearly a year of testing, it was advised that Phil would benefit better from a living kidney donor vs a deceased donor . I decided to get tested beginning of December to see if I was eligible to be a donor. I went to an all day appointment with many doctors on the Henry Ford Transplant Team on December 17th to make sure I'm a good fit. New Year's Eve I received the call that the Kidney board decided that I'm officially a Perfect Match for Phil! After many prayers & almost 19 years together and married for almost 10 it was a given that this was meant to be ❤ We are seeking help to cover the care that follows our future surgeries, such as: follow up appointment transportation, caregivers, meds that may require a copay, lost wages not covered by work, and anything else I may be missing due to being out of work for our surgeries.
