Hello, I’m Dusty Rose! I'm a 33-year-old, genderqueer white-passing Native trans artist living with chronic pain in the midwest. I am a Taurus!
I have been living out as a trans person for 5 years, and I've been on hormones for 1 full year. Being on hormones has helped me feel better about my body, and having a flat chest would only make me feel more comfortable in my identity. I recently had a top surgery consultation at the U of M with Dr. Buckley, and it has just been approved by my insurance! I am so thankful to have my insurance cover the major cost of my surgery, but I still need some help financially, that's where you come in...
I will need to take at least 6 weeks off of work to recover. I am currently a caregiver to folks living with HIV & AIDS, I've had this stellar job for 3 years and really enjoy it, however I will not be able to work while recovering since my duties are more hands-on and folks rely on me in case of emergency. I have no savings and no access to wealth, and my bio family is not supportive in any way, especially financially.
$2,100 would be enough for me to not have to stress about money during my recovery of at least 6 weeks. It would help me cover rent, bills, food, and care for my sweetie emotional support dog, Pocket. My surgery date is coming up, so I am looking for monetary help ASAP!
