Help Us Build an Off-Grid Boarding Facility for Cats in Need

Dear friends and supporters,

As many of you know, I started a journey over a year ago to build a medical facility for Tala Cats Charity, where my fiancée Emma worked tirelessly caring for these beautiful felines. Thanks to your incredible support, we raised £25,000 through GoFundMe, and with the help of many volunteers, we completed the project. The facility has transformed how the park operates, allowing its founders, Dawn and Mark Foote, to regain control and return full-time after Dawn’s recovery from serious strokes and health related issues from it.

Now, Emma has taken on an online management role with the charity, handling adoptions and connecting with various groups dedicated to helping cats in need. However, she’s discovered a significant barrier to cat adoption: many cats cannot find temporary boarding for the required 21-day quarantine before their flights to forever homes. Too often, these cats miss their one chance at a loving home, as without a place to stay, they are left vulnerable and often never seen again. Tragically, some even face the danger of busy roads and speeding cars on the streets.

To address this critical issue and fulfil our long-held dream of off-grid living, we’ve decided to start an off-grid boarding facility for cats. Our goal is to provide safe, loving boarding that, when not in use by paying customers, will be offered at no cost to charities in need. This way, we can give back while ensuring these animals find their forever homes.

We’ve already invested £18,000 of our own money and put in over 500 hours of work, and I’ve begun constructing a tiny home on our newly purchased agricultural land. However, to complete this facility and make it a reality, we need to raise an additional £32,000.

This new fundraiser will help us cover the remaining costs to build the boarding facility, which we believe will be a vital resource for the community and the cats that need help.
