Origin of Dutch Civilian Action
On February 24, 2022, the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began. On March 11, we made our first trip to Poland, delivering essential supplies and assisting Ukrainian refugees. Over the initial months, we made weekly trips and facilitated long-term housing for a total of 200 people.
Aid Efforts in Ukraine
On September 25, 2022, our focus changed as we embarked on our initial journey to Ukraine. Since then, we've been returning every six weeks. Our focus is on supporting civilians residing near the frontlines. We provide assistance not only by delivering relief supplies but also by engaging with them, listening to their stories, and ensuring they know the West remembers them. Thus far, we've delivered 700,000 euros' worth of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. As our network expands, we require funding for the following:
* Sending trucks to Eastern Netherlands (cost: 3,000 euros)
* Undertaking missions to Ukraine (cost: 2,500 euros)
* Establishing projects with long-term impact, such as constructing showers in a hospital
