Nikki's Cancer Fight

In July Nikki was diagnosed (blindsided)  with a rare and aggressive form of oral cancer (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma).  The treatment for this cancer will involve removing her palate and replacing it with a prosthesis that will help her to speak and swallow.   Following surgery Nikki will require intense rehabilitaton  and possibly radiation treatments.  The cost of the prosthesis alone is $10,000.00.  She will be undergoing this surgery at City of Hope on September 12th.

This diagnosis has literally stunned the Stovall Family.  Nikki lives the healthiest lifestyle imaginable.  Not only is she one of the most beloved and creative personal trainers at Spanish Hills Country Club  and in the community, but she is the epitome of health and fitness.  She has dedicated her life to creating a healthful environment for her family and helping others to achieve their goals and live healthier lives.  Nikki has touched so many hearts in the Spanish Hills Country Club community with her encouraging and caring spirit and compassion for others.

The Stovall family is no stranger to cancer and what it takes to fight this battle.  For the past two years Nikki's family has supported and  cared for her mother who has stage 4 cancer.  Her husband, Shane is a nurse.   Her son, Skyler, is working toward a medical career and her daughter, Shayne, attends Camarillo High School.  

Though Nikki's prognosis is good, this next year is going to be extremely challanging for her and her family.   Friends of the Stovall family   are hoping to minimize her concerns for medical expenses and  loss of income so that she can focus her energy on recovering and overcoming this disease.   She is a strong and determined woman who is admired and held in high regard.  If anyone can beat this challange .....   NIKKI can do it.......
