Matthew Cunning fighting Sarcoma!!

This is Matt. Matt discovered a lump about 4 years ago and when he went to the er about it he was told it was a cyst and he needed to go to a dermatologist. Just like most people today he didn’t have the best insurance or financial stability to be able to get that taken care of. October 2022 he went back to the er and found out it wasn’t a cyst and that whatever “it” was could be cancerous and all of the lymph nodes in his private area were swollen… He went to the Drs to get a piece of the mass removed and tested and he was informed it was a form of sarcoma. His Dr was able to do an emergency surgery in February 2023 to remove the mass because he became very anemic, started losing blood, and losing weight due to it. He recovered from the surgery very well but now his lymph nodes are much more swollen and he has 5/6 more tumors. Matthew has started chemotherapy 1/2/2024 and each session is $65,000 since his insurance cover 0%.

Sarcoma is an uncommon group of cancers which arise in the bones, and connective tissue such as fat and muscle. In most cases, it’s not clear what causes sarcoma. Family history and exposure to chemicals or radiation may increase risk. Because they are so rare and can take multiple forms in multiple locations, sarcomas are difficult to detect and often misdiagnosed. In their early stages, soft tissue sarcomas rarely display any symptoms other than a painless lump. As the tumor grows, pain may occur depending on where the tumor is located, or if it presses on nearby nerves.
