Devizes to Westminster Kayak 203KM
Donation protected
Over Easter weekend Henry Clark and Piers Tabor will be competing in the 203KM Devizes to Westminster Kayak Race over 4 days. This is the longest and hardest race in the world.
Funds raised will be split equally between:
Special Boat Service Association - http://armedforcescharities.org.uk/index.php/faqs/item/415-specialboatserviceassociationsbsa
Welsh Guards Charity - http://www.welshguardscharity.co.uk/
Both these charities mean a lot to us and it would be great if you could donate towards good causes.
We are also competing in the Waterside series, 4 races every other weekend leading up to the DW race. These start at 22KMs and increase to 55 KMs.
We started our training in September in a rather wet fashion, often falling out of the kayak into the disease-filled water. The one benefit to this was that we managed to find our balance before the water started to freeze over in December onwards. Over this experience we have learned to hate swans with a passion and the joy of the warm minibus with a mars bar and dry socks.
We would hugely appreciate any form of donation towards our charities and would be very grateful. Please spread the word!
Feel free to come out and support us! (The courses and dates are in the links)
