Calaveras Co. Butte Fire Victims
Donation protected
CCAR Charities was formed by the Calaveras County Association of Realtors in January of 2006 as a 501c(3) corporation for the purpose of assisting Calaveras County, CA residents in their needs. 100% of the funds donated go directly to local Calaveras County families affected by the fire, with the Calaveras County Association of Realtors covering all administrative costs from their funds. A receipt for tax purposes will be provided for your donation.
CCAR Charities is collecting funds so they can help Butte Fire victims with their housing and other needs. Please consider giving what you are able to so CCAR Charities can continue to assist the victims of the devastating Butte Fire.
Calaveras County has a small population of about 45,000. If you can imagine what is would be like to have a fire this large destroy everything you have and to be without the ability to put a roof over the head of your family or supply the other necessary items of life, then you understand why we are asking for your help in our campaign to raise the funds to continue with our program of assisting the families in any way we can.
The Butte Fire destroyed 475 homes. Many of the ones left homeless are frail and elderly with no one who can take them in and some of them have been housed in motels with that cost mounting and more funds will be needed soon.
Some of the needs of the uninsured that CCAR Charities wants to help with, besides the critical need for housing, will be tools so men can get back to work, kitchen items for when the families are able to move into a rental, appliances, furniture, bedding... all the things we use every day, but which now must be replaced.
