Michelle's Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, this is Sidney B and Nelly R.
On September 30th, Michelle was involved in a severe car accident involving large farm equipment. She went head on into a combine, taking off the front two tires. Sending her into a deep ditch upside down.
Michelle is a Coopersville High School senior. She likes to cheer at football games and ride her horses in her free time. She loves dogs and has two. One of which was in her vehicle during the accident. He is okay!
From this accident:
She was pinned upside down in her truck until she was finally freed by the fire department 3 hours later. She was then airlifted to the hospital and placed in the ICU. She has had many surgeries, with more to come. She has a fractured collar bone, fractured clavicle, fractured vertebrae in the neck, a broken elbow in 3 different spots and a broken finger. She also has a broken femur, which completely pierced her thigh and is now partially missing, a fractured tibia, sprained ankle and bruised ribs. Her liver is lacerated, and her spleen is shattered as well. She will be in the hospital for at least four months. She is going through physical therapy and will be for a very long time. ALL leftover funds will be used for a new vehicle and Michelle's personal needs, as she will be out of work for at least one year.
We are still looking for answers; anything helps.
