Dwala Gives Back to Cobb Teachers
Donation protected
UPDATE! If you haven't donated yet, there is still time!
In less than 48 hours last week, we raised the funds to feed not one, but TWO high schools in Cobb County! We have confirmed with both administrations which times and days (Feb 12th for Kell High School and Feb 26th for Pope High School) and The Varsity Food Truck has been booked! We have confirmed the final totals and to cover all the fees we are upping the final amount needed to $3,374. Dwala will be covering the Go Fund Me fees as well as announcing the winner of the $100 gift card or free month of membership for a current Dwala member who donated.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO TOOK THE TIME (AND MONEY!) TO HELP US MAKE SOME OF OUR COBB TEACHERS FEEL SPECIAL FOR A DAY!

Wow! In no less than 12 hours, we have raised the funds to treat the entire Kell High School staff to lunch! We’ve done some quick research, and based on the number of Pope staff members we are shooting for $3,000 now. We are aiming to treat Pope High School staff to the Varsity Food Truck (still need to contact Pope administration and get approval, but at the least we can gift them some kind of treat to their hard working staff!)
Please share, share, share with your family and friends so we can spoil some more teachers!

Dwala Family and Friends,
Coach and CrossFit Dwala Co-Owner Corynne, here! As we all know, this past year has been one of many ups and downs. Jake and I have been incredibly lucky to have had the relentless support of this amazing community. We truly would not have been able to keep our doors open and the fitness vibes alive if it weren't for each and every one of you. Some of you may know, but Jake is currently coaching for Walton High School's Wrestling Team. He is dedicating all of his evening hours and every Saturday to work with those students and help them grow both on the mat and off. Not to mention, he has spent many hours working on fundraising for this program as well. This has been Jake's way to give back to the community -giving his time and energy to his alma mater, Walton High School.
Lately, I've been wanting to find a way to pay it forward as well and I wanted to start off by doing something for my own alma mater, Kell High School, and their teachers. Without stating the obvious, we all know teachers are an integral part of the backbone of our communities and 2020 along with 2021 has tested our teachers (and students too of course) in ways that have been unimaginable. As a simple "thank you" I'd like to treat, on behalf of all of CrossFit Dwala, the Kell High School staff to lunch on February 12th with a visit from The Varsity Food Truck. My fundraising goal for this is $1,400 dollars. Anything extra will be put towards our next school fundraiser for Pope High School which will be held later on in the spring.
To sweeten the deal, anyone who donates to this cause will be entered to win either a $100 Visa Gift Card or if they are a current Dwala member, they may opt for a FREE month of membership.
Fundraiser ends on February 12th!
