Dwayne Danford

On the night of February 5th June Danford woke up to screams coming from Dwayne in another room. He couldn’t feel his arm and had the most excruciating headache in his life. He wanted an ambulance right away. They showed up shortly after and took him to Jackson south with a blood pressure reading through the roof!!!! After many many hours of waiting they still didn’t receive a final answer as to what was happening. Dwayne started losing his eye sight quickly and even with morphine in his system the headache was not getting better but worse. After 24 hours at that terrible hospital June saw a huge decline in him. He couldn’t see, couldn’t read, wasn’t speaking in full sentences and she wasn’t letting this place kill him. She quickly took him out of there and drove him to baptist in Kendall where they dropped everything the moment he walked in. Tests confirmed he was having a massive stroke and needed meds stat! We are now seeing a very slight improvement today but now we know he is scheduled for surgery Monday to place new stents in some arteries that give flow to the brain and bring his blood pressure down to a normal reading. Meanwhile, David (his son) is flying from Colombia to Miami to be by his side for surgery and to help alleviate June from staying at the hospital 24/7 and get some rest.  He has a long road to recovery and as of now we don’t know what the future holds.  We are praying the surgery is a success and he regains his eye sight back, his cognitive abilities and be able to live the life he loves so much.  With all this said June and Dwayne are missing a lot of work and have bills stacking up everyday from the hospital. I know they have tons of friends that they can turn to for help so any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated at this difficult time for our family. It would go towards medical bills,missing work and help David be there for his father. Please pray for Dwayne.  Together we are stronger! ♥️
