Dwayne was the victim of a hit and run driver.

On monday april 24, 2023 my brother Dwayne Jackson was preparing to go to work for Miami Dade County housing,where he has been employed for 0ver 29 year's.While standing in front of his house on the sidw walk,a car came off of the road and hit him knocking him in the air.The lady who hit him jumped out of her car and walked away leaving him for dead.His neighbors came out of their houses and found him in front of his house,with both of his legs twisted in the oppositt direction and blood coming from his head.He was rushed to Jackson Trauma,under going 14 hours of surgery.The surgeons ended up putting titanium rods in each leg.He also has a fractured back and other injuries and he also suffers from depression and anxiety.

My brother said for at least 10 seconds that he felt no pain when the car hit him,because for 10 seconds he was dead.Then his spirit came back into his body,and thats when he felt pain as if a shark had bitten off both of his legs.

The lady who hit him was arrested about a week after the accident and charged with hit and run with serious injuries.The driver only had $10,00.00 in pip insurance,where all 10 grand has gone towards his medical bills.

He has used all of his sick leave time and has also used all of his annual leave time at his job.He has no income at this time and he has to pay his own medical insurance even thou he has no income.The doctor have said he will not be able to go back to work until at least 2024 if he is able to go back at all.
