Join Us in Celebrating Cecilia Torres' Life

Thank you for taking the time to read this short story about our mother, Cecilia Torres, also affectionately known as Nana to her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved her grandchildren so much and was always happy to see them whenever they visited her at home and then at the hospital. She kept a smiling face whenever she saw them, even if she wasn't feeling well, and they loved to see their nana. Mom enjoyed cooking and was great at it. She also loved to dance when she was younger. As she got older, she got hooked on watching Law and Order, especially those reruns.

The evening she passed away at the hospital, we were with her earlier that day in her room, laughing, smiling, and sharing a wonderful time. She was getting better slowly, we all thought. As we left that night for our homes, we looked forward to seeing her again the next day, but then an hour later, we received that devastating call that our mom had taken her last breath. Nothing can prepare you for losing someone so quickly. We had more time with her, we all thought, despite her illness. She had been through so much these past few years and fought to stay healthy as best she could. We were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral. We want to give mom (Nana) the memorial she deserves, honor her memory, and say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of her funeral on July 12, 2024. Again, thank you from my sister, me, and the rest of our families for reading this short message about our loving mother.
