Skye is a friend, a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt but most of all she is a caring and giving person. She has been an active member of her school P&C and is always the first person to put up her hand and offer help to another person in need.
Unfortunately on New Years Eve Skye felt a lump protruding from her stomach. Fast forward three weeks, she has gone through major surgery away from family down in Brisbane and has been told that she has an aggressive form of ovarian cancer known as disgerminoma.
Skye and Dylan have just bought their first home before this all happened and obviously were caught completely unaware. Skye has only recently returned to work after being a stay at home mum and they are now without an income but also did not have income protection built in to superannuation.
Skye and Dylan are looking at close to 105 days of gruelling chemo ahead of them and we would love to be able to remove at least some of the pressure and stress they have ahead of them by helping to cover some living and medical related expenses that they have.
Our family is not normally one to put up their handand ask for help but we really do need some support.
Lots of friends and family have asked how they can help and for the time being this will be the best way to do so. Every little bit will help, nothing is to small please give whatever you feel you can it really will go a long way to help!
