Wife Lost Job, Need Help with Bills - Urgent Need
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott Dykes.
In April, my wife was admitted to the hospital three times. They ran many tests to determine what was wrong, which caused us to accrue a lot of medical and regular debt because of copays. Haleigh was not paid during the time that she missed, and thus we struggled financially during this time. Thanks to you guys, we could get partially caught up on things. That is until recently.
In August, Haleigh had her gallbladder removed and got a gastric sleeve. The weight loss from the gastric sleeve has significantly helped Haleigh with the issues she experienced back in April/May. Haleigh experienced some complications post-surgery and has used all of her PTO to try to rectify and problem-solve these issues.
She was hospitalized for a week due to black and tarry / bloody stool. They did an endoscopy then and found nothing; on 10/27, they did a colonoscopy and found nothing. She has also had low iron and low hemoglobin counts.
Haleigh has missed nearly 20+ days of work and will only be paid for the first 10 of those. So, now all her checks are either very small or sometimes there's no check.
Due to the combination of medical bills and lack of pay coming in from Haleigh, who is the primary source of income, we are now significantly behind on our living expenses. Our house payment is past due, and we have until December to rectify that. Our car payments are behind and at risk of repossession if they aren't paid soon.
Three of my tires need to be replaced as one leaks air, and the others are nearly paper thin. As a delivery driver, I rely on having a functional vehicle to work.
Since this is the worst it's been for us financially; we aren't even sure how we will be able to buy groceries. We tried applying for a loan at our bank, but unfortunately, we were declined due to our credit score.
Anything helps, even if you're only able to send gas gift cards or grocery gift cards to Publix, Walmart, or Target for us to be able to buy our groceries for our animals and us. Just send one of us a message on Facebook, and we'll give you our address.
Another way you can help is by purchasing something from Haleigh's Etsy shop she started over the summer. You can find that here at The Hopeful Anchor.
Thank you ahead of time for your donation. God bless you.
