The funds raised will be used to pay the talented studio musicians I have chosen to back me up, and a skilled audio engineer to produce the most effective translation of my musical vision into reality.
For 21 years, I have been collecting and learning tunes and songs that speak truth to me in music. I have spread those seeds far and wide, indeed, the world over. In that time, I have found and nurtured my own muse as a singer/songwriter, composer, & poet. Now, my muse has matured, & I wish to sing my truth to the world - such wisdom as I have acquired, from the rooftops, the alleyways, the stages - such as they are.
I have played at your weddings, festivals, graduations, campfires, parties, funerals, parades, even your dog’s birthday parties, and I have been inspired each time. Thank you for inviting me to share your joy and creations with me.

The album will feature my lovely and talented wife Samantha Goldberg-Blackthorn on Flute, Tinwhistle, & Xylophone; master of the harmonica Michael Rubin; Tuba and bass by Longhorn Band alumnus Tom Crail; expert jazz and bluegrass picker Noaa Rienecker, and many other special guest artists. I will produce the album along with long time co-conspirator Dr. $ick (of the Squirrel Nut Zippers, Cantiga, and 999 EYES Freakshow & Surreal Sideshow) as my assistant producer.

He plays accordion with THAT Damned Band, Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour, Gary Lindsey & the Pleasure Tide, and the Austin Klezmer Bund Community Orchestra.
