Dylan & Cole Dobbie Charitable Fund

Former Harvard resident Kim Dobbie, 48, was killed Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Lewiston, Maine. Adding to the tragedy, her precious twin 11-year old sons Dylan and Cole witnessed the unprovoked attack on their mother by a stalker who was known to the family and caused them much grief.
Kim was a 1988 graduate of the Bromfield School in Harvard and raised her boys as a single parent in Harvard until she moved to Maine two years ago. Before the move, the Dobbies were frequent visitors to the Harvard Public Library and Bare Hill Pond. We all remember Kim as a devoted mother who lived life in unswerving service to her beloved boys who attended Hildreth Elementary School for several years.
We want to honor Kim's motherly spirit and her many years of residency in Harvard with this appeal. Dylan and Cole are to be the sole beneficiaries of this fundraising campaign.
Rest in peace, Kim Dobbie. You were loved by many.
Dear Dylan & Cole - We love you both!

UPDATE 7/18/2018: The initial 'goal' of $10,000 was arbitrarily set to get the fundraising moving on July 17, 2018. The goal was increased on July 18, 2018 to $100,000.
Why?
We are so grateful for the response received overnight and hope to maximize donations for the boys' behalf.
Ultimately, nothing will replace Kim in Dylan's & Cole's life.
Our goal is to provide some sort of meaningful financial assistance for these beautiful children for their future health, education, maintenance and support expenses.
Thank you for being part of this community effort. It takes a village.
From a fellow mom:

I wanted to share that I am in contact with the boys' grandmother, Susan Dobbie, who is aware and supportive of this GoFundMe effort for Dylan and Cole. Susan is now caring for the boys in Massachusetts. While she has been suffering heartache and inconsolable grief, Susan states that this GoFundMe effort has been comforting:
"...(W)hen I saw this, I felt held and comforted by so many people, many of whom I do not even know. Kim touched so many people in her short life, in Harvard, Farmington and Lewiston. The people I met in ME, like those here in Harvard, have been warmed by her infectious smile, her limitless kindness towards others and her ability to keep a positive attitude in spite her challenges."
Thank you all for being part of this effort to support Dylan and Cole Dobbie.
