Update: A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 21st at 11:00 AM at Cape Ann Bible Church.
Hi Everyone,
We are looking for support for someone who has touched just about all of our lives. Someone who is always eager to lend a helping hand, volunteer for a good cause, listen and provide all around support to others.
On Saturday evening January 14, 2017, Dylan Girard's biological mother, Linda Girard, passed away unexpectedly. Surviving her death is Dylan’s 16-year-old little brother.
His brother resides in Gloucester and is currently a sophomore at Gloucester High School. He recently qualified to compete in the MA State DECA Competition and is a varsity lacrosse player for the Fishermen with Dylan as his coach! He is planning to finish up these last few years of high school strong with the hopes of continuing his education.
With the passing of Linda, Dylan will now be the his caretaker. This is major and sudden life change for both of them. Our hope is that this fundraiser will give them the ability to purchase the basic necessities for the next year to ensure Dylan can provide them with a comfortable living situation.
Over these next few weeks, Dylan is required to find and furnish a larger apartment. In addition, Dylan will need to cover all expenses as he will no longer just be big brother but, his legal guardian.
We have faith that with the guidance of Dylan’s adoptive mother, Judy Girard, the support of his girlfriend, Jesi Martinez, and the overwhelming love for Dylan from the friendships he’s built over his lifetime, that this transition will be manageable.
We ask that you please take a moment to think about how much joy and help Dylan has provided you. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
