Our Friends Terry and Jennifer Bowden need OUR HELP!!!!
Some of you may or may not be aware of the tragic accident that occurred on July 20th, 2017 to Jennifer and Terry Bowden’s son Dylan. Unfortunately, Dylan was involved in a serious automobile accident and suffered multiple injuries leaving Dylan a Quadriplegic. After being hospitalized, in several different hospitals for extensive periods of time that required multiple surgeries and clinical trials, Jennifer and Terry decided to care for Dylan at their home in Harvard IL. In order to accommodate Dylan’s unique needs, Jennifer and Terry’s goal is to undergo extensive modifications to their home with a universal design that will allow Dylan’s basic needs to be met. Simple things that we take for granted, such as getting in and out of the shower or going outside to get a breath of fresh air, etc. These became impossibilities for Dylan.
Dylan was an active young man who enjoyed life to the fullest. Growing up, Dylan was a sports enthusiast. From sunup to sundown, Dylan either had a fishing rod in his hand or was on the water boating. As Dylan got older he developed a special relationship with his Grandpa Jerry, who was a mechanic and a “Jack of all trades”. It was through Grandpa Jerry who introduced Dylan to cars, motorcycles, or anything with an engine. This developed Dylan’s passion and love for engines.
In 2014, Dylan became father to Dylan James Jr. who was the love of his life and means the world to him.
On 7/20/17 at 4:45am, Dylan was on his way to work and was involved in a tragic auto accident that left Dylan a Quadriplegic. In a blink of an eye our lives can change forever as it did for Dylan, Jennifer, Terry, Melanie, Stephanie, and Dylan Jr. Not only do we need your prayers, we need your financial support. If you are available, please come and join us for food, fun and friendship on August 24th at the Bowden's home for a party for Dylan, the party is at 1pm to 6pm call Joe B [phone redacted] for questions . If you cannot make it please dig deep and support the Dylan J. Bowden Fund and bring us one step closer to help Dylan’s life become a bit more comfortable. Please go to the GoFundMe page, anything helps.
