This Go Fund Me page has been authorised by the family of Dylan Leschke.

Dylan’s life was tragically cut short in March 2024 at the age of 33 years in the Gulf of Carpentaria, far North Queensland. Dylan had a love of the Gulf and enjoyed the lifestyle it provided him.

The tragic loss of Dylan has shocked and devastated our family; our hearts are broken beyond comprehension. Dylan was a massive presence, the absence of his huge warm heart and beaming smile has left a hole in our lives that we never expected to have to face.

He touched the hearts of everybody who was fortunate enough to have met him.

We have been overwhelmed by requests from loved ones reaching out and wanting to support Dylan’s family, and his son Riv, as they now face life without him and learn to navigate their way through this.

This go fund me has been established to support Dylan’s family in the extensive lengths they have had to go through in order to bring him home from Normanton to rest amongst family, and close to his young son Riv.

These funds are being collected for the benefit of Dylan’s parents Jennene and Mick, and brother Brandon, who have had to travel extensive distances from one end of Australia to the other and face some unexpected and unfathomable challenges no one should ever have to endure, to be able to bring Dylan home to Swan Hill, Victoria.

It has devastated us that the family has been unable to reunite together yet to grieve their much-loved Dylan.

Funds in excess of memorial needs will be held in trust to support Riv, his son. We know that no amount of money will ever substitute his presence in their lives and thank you for your generous donations.

We are united in our grief. His beautiful warm spirit, drive and energy will forever be missed.

This fundraiser is organised by me, Nikkiema Salathiel, cousin of our beloved Dylan Leschke. Funds will be disbursed to me on behalf of Jennene and Mick Leschke (Dylan's parernts), and then together with their consultation distributed to cover incurred and outstanding expenses in bringing Dylan home to us, and looking after Riv.
