August 23rd
Montreal and Ottawa are beautiful cities. A big thank you to Kim Trottier and Calvin for a rest and a lovely home to stay in in a very cool part of Montreal.
I will be in New Brunswick this weekend and looking forward to catching up with my grade 1 bestie Ashleigh.
Loving Canada and the warm friendly Canadians all over this beautiful country.
Earlier in August
I just went to Niagara Falls.
I have been camping most nights. Some nights I have been staying at people's houses Using An online website where cyclists connect with local hosts in the area. It's a great resource to find places to stay people Often offer you a room and sometimes feed you! It's called warm showers.
Northern Ontario along Highway 17 has a lot of bugs, is not a great road to ride on and lot of hills.
I Have been averaging around 130km per day. The prairies made for some great Cycling, the wind can be your best friend or your worst enemy, depending on the day. My best day was 240km.
I have booked I flight back home to Vancouver on September 28th
Riding solo now Just me and the cows

Its Ontario !!
Dylan is on his own. Crossing the rest of the journey himself. We, his family, our extended family, friends, and friends who are like his family are all cheering him on.
Main story
Dylan Curtis, Elisabet Aarre and Jonathan Davies have taken on this adventure to bicycle across Canada. They are doing this for charity and the protection of the environment. Both these causes are important to them and our families.
This has been on the plans for many years and they are finally committed to doing this. They will start mid - June from Vancouver and finish in mid-September at St. Johns in Newfoundland.
The journey has begun :

They are on their way - June 23rd

Charity - The Bloom Group
Since 1961, The Bloom Group has led many of our community’s most progressive social services to reduce homelessness, provide end-of-life care for individuals with mental health challenges and addictions, ensure women-led families in crisis can stay together as they rebuild their lives, provide financial management for at-risk seniors, and much more. Our ‘low-barrier’ services are inclusive and available to all individuals in need, regardless of their circumstances, and without conditions.

Cpaws
Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – British Columbia Chapter (CPAWS-BC) protects wilderness in every corner of BC and deep into the ocean. CPAWS-BC supports the creation of large, well-managed, connected protected areas where native plants and animals thrive, now and forever; and where people and communities can live off the land and ocean without impacting the ability of future generations to do the same.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated as all funds will be split between the two causes after basic expenses for the ride.
Thank you in advance.
