Financial help for Dylan's Dad - School bus accident

Hi, my name is Nicholas and I own a small landscaping business in Embrun. One of my employees is a single father to four children and is also the caretaker for his elderly father.

Today on April 22, 2024, the bus carrying his children home from Russell Public School was struck by a transport truck. All four of his children were on the bus at the time.

One of his children, Dylan (4 yrs old), was injured quite badly in the accident. His foot was crushed and his leg broken in several places. We are still waiting for more details on the injuries, but it is already clear that his father won't be able to work for a a few months so he can properly care for his son. Even without these injuries, Dylan requires a little more care than the rest of the children as he has developed a little slower than what would normally be expected. Despite this disadvantage, he has always been one of the happiest kids I have known and I'm sure that won't change. We are hoping for a quick recovery and that this hiccup in his childhood doesn't affect him for the rest of his life.

I'm asking for anyone who can spare some money to donate to help my employee with his expenses. It's stressful enough being a single father of four and trying to make ends meet in our current economy, but if he can't work, the bills will just keep stacking up. I wish I could support him on my own through my business, but we are at such a young stage that I can't.

UPDATE 10PM April 22nd

Dylan's leg is badly bruised but not broken. His foot is crushed and broken and they believe there is muscle damage. He will be staying at the hospital overnight. His siblings are staying with their uncle overnight, and we are hoping to get no more bad news.
